Marchin'

It's been a fun month for the P*Town Rindys.  Melia started reading and registered for Kindergarten.  {eek}  AJ & Aaron have finished their RadKids training and will graduate tomorrow.  They also went on a field trip to the zoo and they absolutely loved The Lego Movie.  Our family spoke in Sacrament Meeting last week.  Each one of the kids helped plan their talks and bore their testimony on their own.  It was an incredibly awesome experience. The big highlight of the month, though, was the Daddy Daughter Masquerade Ball.  Melia was so excited to date her dad and they danced the night away.  Meanwhile, AJ & Aaron were pretty stoked about their hot date with mom.  It was a low-key evening with Happy Meals and a Pictionary Tournament.  Lots of fun for everyone.  We're excited to see what April brings.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone who participated on Sunday with Raiden's ordaining to the office of a deacon.  Hopefully you were able to use the event as we were as a teaching moment with our other children.  We are excited for him and are so proud of him as well!

Welcome Little One!

By now you all are aware that Loni's little girl has arrived.  I will let her post the details and more pictures...but here is one grandma was nice enough to send!  Welcome Bentley!  (hopefully I got that right)

Spring Sensations for the Snowbound!

Okay....we weren't snowbound.  We got a lot of rain though so we didn't do much outdoors.  The kids did keep busy though....

We had several Wii tournaments.  Mostly Mario Kart.  Ender and Jenner were excited to learn how to play it with their brothers.  They didn't place so high which of course led to tears...but they did have a good time doing it....

Being boys of course they always have fun when they get going on play ground sets... usually the invader/ castle themed invasions going on...

It was fun to get out in the gym too.  We had balloons that they hit with badminton's to see who could keep theirs off the ground longest.  That is fun till someone pops theirs of course...Then it is a race to see who can pop the most...inevitable I guess...

What boy do you know who is going to give you an "I don't want to!" when they are invited to go rock climbing?  Well ours of course didn't turn us down.  We then have to face the, "But I haven't had as many turns as so and so!" that you get when it is time to be DONE!

We might not live somewhere with a huge library anymore, but we do manage to find time to get to it.  This is the stairs leading to the school library.  The public library is in the town hall.  I still haven't snapped any photos of it...

And there you have a condensed version of our spring break.  It was fun, and of course according to them, not long enough.  But we did have a good time, and a relaxing one for the most part...

This is were the runoff from the school goes.  The boys just had to have a picture of it.  They think it is quite cool how the rain has melted it down to the ground in such a straight line.

Soooo...... Our Spring Break.   I will get on and add in more info and possible pictures soon but wanted to let everyone know what we had the chance of doing.

CARNIVAL CRUISE TO MEXICO!!!
The kids really enjoyed is as did Kristie and myself.  We left on Saturday to visit friends in california and then got on the boat on Sunday.  (Reagan kept saying it was a yacht)  We spent 1 day in Catalina looking for sea shells, one day in Ensenada, Mexico touring and having fun, and one day out to see on our way back.  We really enjoyed it and had a great time.  Now we are back to St. George, back to our 2nd day of school from spring break, and getting ready for our end of year testing to start in the next few weeks.  Can't believe we are already there!

Story Book

I was thinking, wouldn't it be fun to have a collection of stories that all the nieces and nephews have written?

So here is what I am asking.

I would like you to have each of your kids write or dictate a short story (this will go on one page).  And then to make an illustration of some kind to go along with it.  It can be drawn or stickers, or computer or collage...no rules...

Then either scan and send it to me via email...or mail it to me.

I am then going to create a book of these stories on Shutterfly....  I will be either sending mom a copy or bringing it with me when we come down for the summer.

This way you can look at it and buy a copy of your own if you would like.

So if you would, please, please, please, have your kids create a story and picture for me I would really appreciate it.

And if I could have them no later than May that would be GREAT!

Good luck, have fun...and this would make a fun family home evening!!!!

It seems like just yesterday that Grandma Rindy was with us.  Can you believe it has been a year today?
3-12-13    This pictures is of AJ and Aarons birthday party in May of 2012 and I think she started going down hill after that.  We all miss her that is for sure...  I know for a fact that the men....Paul and Lynn miss her very much too.
They are still trying to adjust to farming without her.  She was a saint to feed them almost 3 meals a day for six days a week for pretty much their entire lives except when they were on their missions or maybe in college.  Bless her heart.  I am sure she is happy with grandpa Rindy once again.
Grandma we all miss you!!

Spring Spectacular's

I thought for this month it would be fun if we could focus our energies, stories, musings, or whatever you call your writings on what you all have going on during your respective Spring Breaks!  I think between six families and a mom and pop we should have some fun things happening.

I know ours will be fun simply cause Judge's birthday falls during it.

And whose March isn't going to be fun with the knowledge that Daylight Savings will be commencing next week?  Anyone?

So let the good times roll and don't forget to share!!!!
